Milestones

This week Emlyn has successfully conquered two milestones. She has learned to tie her shoes!

She's also hopefully reached the point where we will be reading lots of books all the time. She read 13 last night. Most of them were really short but I am encouraged. I know that soon she will be unstoppable as far as reading is concerned. I'm proud of her.

oh yea! That's a lot of books!

I remember learning to tie shoes was very hard; my neighbor 2 years younger taught me how to tie shoes. (It was easier than how my parents were teaching me.)

Sarah--wonderful news about your little one, that is so exciting! Say, are you on eHow? I saw your "ad" there about having made so much money with them, and I can't get them to give me the guidelines of what pays and how and how much, etc. Could you email me? I promise not to be a pest, just wondering if these people are on the up and up, since I can't get a straight answer on much! I am chris_at_Lucas at yahoo dot com. Thanks, hon--and fellow Texan! I'm in north central Texas....

Great job, Emlyn!

Hey I ran across the website you had mentioned awhile back, Starfall.com..great stuff! Thanks for letting us all know about it...I am going to use it to help with NatJ and Emily's reading.

Like mother like daughter! I'm glad she loves reading so much -it really will benefit her life (as you well know).

Glad to hear about the shoe-tying as well. I don't remember having a problem with tying so much as always having them on the wrong feet myself. Maybe that was just the first of many signs that I would be directionally challenged. :)

It's nice things are going well.
