Oil in Your Lamp

Today I was chatting with a friend and she gently reminded me again that we don't know the day or hour in which Jesus will return. Jesus compared his return to a group of women waiting for their suitors. Half of them were prepared; they had oil in their lamps at all times and had everything in order. The other half had neglected to keep their lamps full. When the bridegroom came, the ones who were unprepared asked the others "please share your oil with us!" But the prepared ones were not able to share. They had done what they could and gotten themselves ready. The fact of the matter is that we are all in control of our own lives. If there are some things you have not done to prepare for the return of Jesus Christ, you need to do them now. Don't wait until Jesus comes back.

Yes, this is true. One of the hardest for me is forgiveness...

Sarah this is something that J and I have been working on a lot lately...being prepared because we do not know the day or hour. We have building our relationship with the Lord more and more every day. Thank you for reminding everyone of this importance.
